My Favorite Songs

Really half the CD, but I guess my top three are:

Jazzy Belle

This is just an excellent crafted song. The message that it sends out to the females that are confused about who they are and what they want to achieve and the pleasantness and harmony in the song makes this song almost perfectly made. This actually just may be my favorite song from Outkast of all time.

I especially love the live when Andre says:
“Comin around my crew lookin Jazzy, wanna pretend
like you Ms. Goodie, Four-Shoes, even Bo knew, that you got caught
like acupuncture patients while our nation is a boat Straight sinkin,
I hate thinkin that these the future mommas of our chillun,
they fuckin a different nigga every time they get the feelin to”

I personally just felt like this line had a lot of meaning in it.

Elevators

Another Southern classic. Real laid back and something else you can just sit back and relax to. I like how the song describes how the two came from their younger days of not having much and riding the bus then to when they older and the misconceptions that people had about them being rich and living the easy life now that they had some songs out on the radio.

ATLiens

The liveliness and upbeatness of this song just makes you want to bob your head and ride. In my opinion the first verse is probably Big Boi’s best verses ever. But of course you can’t forget Dre, who never seems to disappoint you. The metaphors and twists in both artists’ lyrics make this song a joy to listen to.
